Parking Solutions Technology Company Launches Premium Self-Parking App to Ease Your Shopping Experience
(Miami, FL) – MyPark, the South Florida-based parking solutions provider used by malls, private and public garages and property management companies, today announced their partnership with Mall of America and the debut of their on-demand, mobile, premium self-parking service for shoppers and visitors. The new app provides guests the ability to choose where and when they want to park with the simple touch of a button, and even allows them to reserve a guaranteed premium space up to six months in advance.

Mall of America is the first location in the Midwest to implement the emerging technology, in which shoppers can reserve a prime parking spot when they need it, directly from their smartphones. MyPark’s app and intelligent connected reservation unit enables consumers to locate and reserve a prime parking spot in the best locations close to where they want to be at the mall. The solution eliminates the time and effort exerted driving up and down the parking aisles in search of an ideal spot near a desired mall entrance.
Mall of America has installed a total of 20 reserved, numbered spaces in two key locations:
- West Parking Ramp, P1 level – 10 spaces
- East Parking Ramp, P1 level – 10 spaces
Spaces can be reserved for $6 for up to two hours through the app, and then $3 for each additional hour. MyPark-trained attendants are on site until mid-November to help customers download and navigate the app and assist with any parking questions.
Users can go to the usemypark.com website and click on the links to their respective app stores or download the app directly from the Android or iOS stores, register and tell the app where and when they would like to park. Then they choose the section they prefer (the best spot is selected automatically by default) and confirm their reservation. Once users arrive at their reserved space, they simply tap the “Let me in” button on their iOS or Android device and the unique MyPark reservation unit will lower to give them access. Once the driver leaves, the unit will immediately reserve the space for the next driver and send the guest an email receipt.

NEW VALIDATION FEATURE!
Currently available at select malls throughout the country, MyPark will further enhance guest parking ease and satisfaction for mall shoppers with its new in-app validation feature. Retailers and restaurants can now offer their guests MyPark’s premium parking validations to drive more customers into their locations.
Guests simply park in a MyPark designated spot and visit a participating merchant. The retailer or restaurant enters a one-time validation code and either pays partially or entirely for the parking session. The system gives shoppers an incentive to visit a specific retailer and provides retailers a new way to reward their customers. For Mall of America, with its 520 stores and 50 restaurants, the validation feature will be particularly useful for helping retailers and eateries further differentiate themselves and provide their customers with the next level of service.
While Mall of America is MyPark’s first foray into malls in the Midwest, it is already in use at other notable shopping centers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
